Saab VatRadar is the most accurate and reliable radar gauge available. What’s more it is so smart it can even emulate your existing non-radar gauges.
This new feature makes it easy and inexpensive to integrate VatRadar in any existing system. If you want to try out just one VatRadar gauge to start off with, you simply replace one of your old servo gauges. No need to replace any field cables, network units or software. Just plug-n-gauge.
Saab VatRadar emulates all major gauging protocols including: Whessoe, Enraf, Varec, L&J, and Sakura.
No Need For Regular Costly Recalibration
You will never have to take a Saab VatRadar gauge out of service for recalibration. Mechanically wearing servo or float devices need regular calibration checks to confirm acceptability for regular inventory or C&E duties.
C&E standard radar gauges also need calibration checks. This can be automated by use of an internal reference to make the radar sweep absolutely linear, thereby achieving highest accuracy.

To achieve the highest precision, Saab VatRadar uses a built in digital crystal oscillator as a reference to continuously check measurement accuracy 6 times a second. This is the most stable reference available with today's technology.
Integration Into Existing Gauging Systems
The Saab VatRadar gauge can emulate several makes of mechanical and other gauges. This means it can replace a non-Saab gauge and connect directly into the existing field cabling using the same signal transmission wires. From a data transmission point of view, the VatRadar acts just like the previously installed gauge. The savings in installation and cabling cost are substantial. Saab VatRadar can emulate the following mechanical gauge communication protocols:

Calibration of Vats
To complement the accuracy of the overall measurement we can provide calibration of the vats using Saab VatCal. This service uses a laser instrument instead of water to measure and calculate the actual volumes in each vat.
