saab cts

Recently Osprey Maritime Ltd ordered Saab CTS and MEP2000 for the LNG tanker Gimi. We are delivering a scope of supply where Saab CTS is monitoring their cargo level, temperature and pressure and we will also upgrade the alarm monitoring system in the engine room.

The LNG tanker Gimi is one of three ships that were built at a shipyard in Norway. Gimi was delivered in the 70's equipped at first with Foxboro level tank gauging. Retrofit is now being implemented with new custody transfer radar tank gauging from ourselves.

Capacity has been increased in six tanks of Moss tank type. We have also received orders for Kannhur and Hilli and are offering the option for the same equipment of alarm monitoring system onboard other vessels, also owned by Osprey Maritime.

Saab CTS for LNG carriers we introduced the radar-based measuring method for LNG tankers in the late 90's. Since then many installations have been carried out on retrofits. Saab CTS offers trouble-free operation with great accuracy and is very reliable.

Verification and service are performed under closed conditions. No matter if it is a new building or a retrofit the installation of the system has shown to be quick and easy. The company introduced the radar method for level measuring 1976 and all major ship owners and operators are among the customers. Saab Rosemount Marine holds a market share of 54% on all types of tankers. Please note that Saab Marine Electronics recently changed company name to Saab Rosemount Marine. The world leader in radar-based tank gauging, with well-known trademarks such as Saab TankRadar, Scanjet, MEP2000 and SF-Control, is now an Emerson Process Management Company.
